Innovation Partner Support Program

The Autside Play for All Foundation is dedicated to driving innovation for neurodivergent individuals, their families, and their support networks. Through our Partner Support Program, we provide grants to organizations developing groundbreaking products, services, or platforms that enhance the experiences and opportunities of neurodivergent individuals and their communities.

Who Can Apply?

The Innovation Partner Support Program is open to:

  • Nonprofit Organizations programs with fresh ideas to support neurodivergent individuals. This can include For-Profit partnerships that support innovations. 
  • Research Organizations conducting experiential and inclusivity research.
  • Community organizations and partners that enhance inclusivity in play environments systemically.

Program Goals

The program is designed to:

  • Empower Innovation: Support the development of cutting-edge solutions that enhance play, inclusivity, and accessibility.
  • Drive Measurable Impact: Fund research and programs that demonstrate tangible improvements in the lives of neurodivergent individuals.
  • Opportunity to scale: Ideas prototyped or tested can be shared and spread to promote widespread inclusion. 

Examples of Innovation Support

Grants may support initiatives in the following areas:

  • Product Innovation: Development and implementation of new tools or products such as communication boards for non-verbal children.
  • Program Development: Funding for research and initiatives that expand inclusive play opportunities.
  • Nature & Inclusive Game/Space Development: Enhancing outdoor play environments with accessibility-focused innovations.
  • Employment & Life Skills Development: Programs equipping neurodivergent individuals with essential skills for independence and success.

Funding Details

Grant amounts vary based on project scope and impact. Selected partners may receive funding ranging from $5,000 to $15,000, based on available resources and project feasibility.

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be reviewed based on the following key factors:

  • Alignment with Mission: How well the proposed initiative supports the Foundation’s objectives.
  • Measurable Impact: Clear and defined success metrics, such as the number of individuals reached, program outcomes, or research findings, and timeline. 
  • Scalability & Sustainability: Potential for long-term success and broader application beyond the initial grant period.
  • Innovation & Uniqueness: The degree to which the project introduces new, effective solutions.
  • Financial & Operational Viability: Opportunity to sustain and scale the initiative, either internally or through other channels. 

Application Process

The application process consists of three key steps:

  1. Submit your idea: Prospective partners must provide the project, goals, and expected impact. Feel free to use whatever medium best explains your goal and idea. 
  2. Evaluation & Selection: Applications will be reviewed based on the established criteria. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for further discussion.
  3. Grant Award & Implementation: Selected partners will receive funding upon achievement of the Foundation’s fundraising goals.

Grant Application Timeline

  • Application Opens: April 15 2025
  • Submission Deadline: July 15 2025
  • Finalist Notifications: TBD
  • Grant Awards Announced: TBD
